Norton Rose advises DNB Bank and HSBC on financing for Viking Moorings group

International legal practice Norton Rose Group has advised DNB Bank ASA, Norway’s largest financial services group, and HSBC Bank Plc on a £73 million loan facility for the Viking Moorings Group, the international provider of mooring solutions for rigs and other assets used in the offshore oil and gas industry.
The financing forms part of Viking Moorings Group’s capital restructure. DNB Bank and HSBC acted as joint mandated lead arrangers with DNB Bank also acting as facility agent and security agent.
A team drawn from the London, Singapore and Sydney offices advised DNB Bank and HSBC, led by London-based partner James Dunnett with support from associates Samantha Martin and Alexandros Zekkos and paralegal Alastair Hamilton. Specialist tax advice was provided by partner Dominic Stuttaford and senior associate David Ward.
