Our Almaty office in Kazakhstan is key to the strength of our practice in the international energy, and infrastructure, mining and commodities sectors. Second only to Russia in oil reserves and production and natural gas reserves among the CIS countries, Kazakhstan’s aim is to become one of the world’s top oil exporters. This is attracting international corporates, governments and entrepreneurs to the country.
We have more than 20 years’ experience of working across Central Asia and established an office in Almaty with 12 lawyers, led by two partners, after leading Canadian firm Macleod Dixon joined Norton Rose Group on 1 January 2012.
Our clients include both local and foreign companies, governmental agencies, multinational corporations with activities in Kazakhstan and neighbouring jurisdictions.
