Pursuant to a securities registration statement filed with the Director of the Kanto Local Finance Bureau in Japan on October 26, 2007, Royal Bank of Canada issued ZAR 30,000,000 Royal Bank of Canada Fixed Rate Deposit Notes due November 15, 2011 under RBC's U.S. $40,000,000,000 Programme for the Issuance of Notes.
