On August 6, 2008, The Shumka Group closed the previously announced purchase of the Canadian Property and Casualty insurance claims and risk management services from CGI Group Inc. for an undisclosed amount. The transaction created the largest independent insurance services company in Canada, expanding The Shumka Group's portfolio of insurance-related services with strengthened operations in Quebec and Ontario and the addition of the risk management competencies of CGI Group's business unit.
