Penny S. Bonner pratique le droit des sciences de la vie. Elle est responsable de nos équipes Sciences de la vie et Rappel de produits et gestion de crise. Elle conseille et représente des clients canadiens de divers secteurs comme la biotechnologie, les médicaments d'ordonnance et produits pharmaceutiques en vente libre (tant en médecine humaine que vétérinaire), les produits de santé naturels, les instruments médicaux, les aliments et les cosmétiques.

Elle fournit des conseils aux clients, notamment en ce qui concerne l'analyse des modifications apportées à la réglementation et la rédaction de demandes de modification de la réglementation, la bioéthique, les conventions commerciales, les contestations constitutionnelles des restrictions réglementaires, la gestion de crise, les stratégies relatives aux restrictions touchant les exportations, l'étiquetage, la publicité et la promotion, l'établissement du prix, les recours individuels et collectifs liés à la responsabilité du fait du produit, la protection des renseignements personnels, les rappels et les mesures d'exécution gouvernementales, les approbations réglementaires et l'opposition à la divulgation en vertu des lois sur l'accès à l'information.

M^me Bonner possède une solide expérience pour ce qui est d'aider des clients à traiter avec les principaux organismes de réglementation, comme la Direction de la protection de la santé du ministère de la Santé, l'Agence canadienne d'inspection des aliments, le ministère de l'Agriculture et de l'Agroalimentaire et le Conseil d'examen du prix des médicaments brevetés, ainsi qu'à obtenir l'examen judiciaire des décisions de ces organismes à la Cour fédérale. Elle a notamment déjà travaillé au sein de l'organisme qui a été remplacé par la Direction de la protection de la santé du ministère de la Santé.
