Amendments to the Securities Act (Ontario) will come into force on December 31, 2005. These amendments will impose liability on issuers, their directors and officers, experts and other influential persons associated with the issuer where there is a misrepresentation contained in an issuer's continuous disclosure record or a failure of the issuer to make timely disclosure in the secondary market.
