The Electricity Restructuring Act: Ontario's Potential Electricity Market

On June 15, 2004, Ontario Energy Minister Dwight Duncan introduced for first reading Bill 100, the "Electricity Restructuring Act" which amends both the Ontario Energy Board Act, 1998 and the Electricity Act, 1998. Although supporting regulations are required in order to fully understand how Ontario's electricity market will function, the Restructuring Act does provide some insight.
