William Chung

Biography

William Chung's practice covers all aspects of corporate and commercial law, with an emphasis on assisting private companies in mergers and acquisitions, financing, private equity, commercial contracting and other corporate matters. He worked at the firm as a summer student in 2006 and as an articling student in 2007-2008.

Prior to entering the practice of law, Mr. Chung was employed in various capacities in the biotechnology sector.

Selected Client Work

Mr. Chung's mandates have included representing:

• Nortel Networks Inc. in connection with its multijurisdictional insolvency proceedings including its agreement to sell substantially all of the assets of Nortel's global Optical Networking and Carrier Ethernet Business to Ciena Corporation for US$769 million
• Nortel Networks Inc. in connection with the auction sale of its CDMA business and LTE Access assets to Ericsson for US$1.13 billion
• Borealis Infrastructure, which provided the majority of the equity in the Alternative Financing and Procurement project for the design, build, finance and maintenance of a new state-of-the-art health care complex to be located in St. Catharines, Ontario
