Biography

Stephen Drymer's practice focuses on domestic and international arbitration and alternative dispute resolution. He is Co-Chair of our Arbitration and Alternative Dispute Resolution and International Arbitration Teams. He regularly acts as counsel to parties in international commercial arbitrations, as well as in investor-state disputes, and advises clients on issues associated with the design, negotiation and implementation of international arbitration agreements and other dispute resolution procedures. He also serves on tribunals in international arbitrations. He has acted in disputes in the manufacturing, petrochemical, financial services, IT, construction, transportation, aerospace and telecommunication industries, among others.

Mr. Drymer also advises and represents domestic and foreign clients, in both the government and private sectors, in matters of public international law. He has extensive experience in the arbitration and mediation of public international disputes, both as counsel and neutral, in matters involving boundary delimitation and the negotiation and implementation of resource development and management agreements.

Mr. Drymer also carries on an active sport-related dispute resolution practice, appearing in cases before the Court of Arbitration for Sport in Lausanne and regularly serving as an arbitrator and mediator in doping and other sport-related disputes.
