Biography
Robert Borduas has significant experience in bank financing, commercial leasing, securitization and general commercial law. He has particular expertise in project financing, derivative products and structured financing. He acts as lead counsel representing borrowers and financial institutions in syndicated loan, securitization and factoring transactions, as well as cross-border leasing transactions and syndication and sub-participation transactions. Mr. Borduas has also acted as counsel in various public-private partnerships in Canada.
Mr. Borduas is Co-Chair of our Projects and Project Finance Team. He was a member of the Mulroney-Johnson Commission that advised the Government of Quebec on the implementation of the Centre hospitalier de l'Université de Montréal (CHUM) and the McGill University Health Centre (MUHC). Mr. Borduas taught business law at the Faculty of Law of Université de Sherbrooke for three years.
