Biography
Michel Carle has acquired vast experience of employment and labour law. He has represented clients before all the courts of Quebec as well as before administrative tribunals such as the Commission des relations du travail, arbitration tribunals and the Quebec Human Rights Tribunal.
Over the course of his career, Mr. Carle has acquired in-depth knowledge of the manufacturing, retail and pharmaceuticals industries in particular. He also has valuable experience in representing employers during unionization campaigns, on applications for certification and in collective bargaining. He provides ongoing advice and acts on behalf of a number of companies in matters relating to labour law, labour standards, employment termination, grievance arbitration and corporate restructuring and mergers.
Since 2004, Mr. Carle has represented various construction companies before the Quebec Superior Court and the Construction Industry Commissioner, for example, in jurisdictional disputes relating to the assembly and erection of wind turbines and work on power dams.

Mr. Carle has represented and advised numerous employers, particularly with regard to certification procedures and unionization campaigns, including Costco Wholesale Canada Ltd., National Bank of Canada, Verreault Navigation, Le Groupe San Francisco, Le Groupe Aldo, MDS Pharma Services and Les Ailes de la Mode.
He has also provided advice on general labour law matters, as well as labour standards, employment terminations, grievance arbitration, mergers and restructurings to employers such as Costco Wholesale Canada Ltd., Bombardier Aerospace, Lantic Sugar, General Mills, Gouverneur Inc., GameStop/E.B. Games, Sécurité Kolossal, SGL Canada Inc., Technickrome Aéronautique, J. Houle et Fils inc., and Komatsu International (Canada) Inc.
Speaking Engagements
Mr. Carle often makes presentations to clients of the firm on topics relating to his areas of expertise, such as avoiding unionization, psychological harassment and management of absenteeism.
