Biography
Martin Bonenfant joined the firm in February 2005. He has expertise in biotechnology, particularly cellular and molecular biology, as well as in genetics. During his undergraduate studies, Dr. Bonenfant completed various research internships, notably in the biochemistry department of Hôtel-Dieu de Québec and in the biochemistry and microbiology departments of Université Laval. He pursued graduate studies at the Centre hospitalier de l'Université Laval in Québec, in partnership with the Centre de recherche en endocrinologie moléculaire et oncologique and the Centre de recherche en biologie de la reproduction. His thesis focused on the enzymatic regulation of steroidogenesis in human pregnancy.
Following his studies, Dr. Bonenfant worked for the Chemical Abstract Services (CAS) division of the American Chemical Society in Columbus, Ohio, where he analyzed scientific publications on endocrinology, microbiology, pharmacology and cosmetics with a view to incorporating new data and chemical structures into the CAS databases.
