Lise Bergeron

Biography

Lise Bergeron focuses on corporate and securities law, mergers and acquisitions, financing and corporate reorganizations. She acts on behalf of issuers, underwriters and purchasers of securities in debt and equity financings by way of public offerings and private placements. She advises numerous corporations, including publicly listed companies with operations nationwide, on corporate affairs and compliance with securities legislation.

Ms. Bergeron also coordinates all legal aspects of project financings, particularly in the pulp and paper sector, including structuring and negotiating the legal documentation required in this type of transaction. In addition, she directs and coordinates all aspects of major acquisitions, divestitures, business combinations and reorganizations, which involves structuring, preparing and negotiating several agreements, as well as coordinating the efforts of large working groups.

She has had a role in the administration of the firm for several years. From 1994 to 2002 she was National Chair of our Business Law Group. Ms. Bergeron is currently National Chair, Professional Services and a member of our Management Committee.
