Biography
Judith M. Robinson is Montréal Chair of our Intellectual Property Group. She practises in all areas of intellectual property law with particular emphasis on patent litigation and related opinions and commercial agreements. Ms. Robinson is particularly active in the life sciences sector. Regular clients for whom she acts include multinational pharmaceutical companies and small, medium and established biotechnology companies. She has appeared before the courts on a variety of matters pertaining to patents, trade-marks, and administrative law recourses. Ms. Robinson was counsel to Merck in obtaining a judgment after trial in 2006 holding that Merck's patent for the drug Lisinopril was valid and infringed. She also practises in drug regulatory law.
Ms. Robinson is a regular speaker on intellectual property and life science matters, including at the international conference BIO.
