Biography
James Padwick's corporate and commercial practice focuses on banking, securities, energy and pensions. In his corporate banking practice, he acts for lenders, borrowers and issuers involved in domestic and cross-border financing transactions, including secured and unsecured financings of private and public corporations, project financings, syndicated lending, asset-based financings, lease financings, senior and subordinated debt financings, and other structured financing arrangements. He also acts for reporting issuers on initial offerings and ongoing regulatory compliance. Mr. Padwick brings a deeper understanding of corporate and securities matters through his Level I CFA experience and his MBA (Finance).
Building on his experience at an international energy and emissions brokerage and consultancy firm, Mr. Padwick is developing an energy and environmental practice that includes advising clients on renewable energy development, emissions, various electricity issues, product stewardship, environmental assessments and other regulatory matters. Mr. Padwick also has experience with pension plans for major Canadian corporations.
