Biography
Isabelle Chabot has practised in intellectual property since 1999. She focuses on software, electronics, telecommunications, optics, business methods and information technology in general. She handles all aspects of protecting inventions, including preparing patentability, validity and infringement opinions, drafting patent and industrial design applications and prosecuting those applications locally and internationally, notably before the Canadian Intellectual Property Office, the United States Patent and Trademark Office, the World Intellectual Property Organisation and the European Patent Office. She participates in the decision-making process of start-ups for intellectual property management and conducts due diligence analyses of intellectual property portfolios and prospectus drafting in collaboration with lawyers of the firm's Business Law Group.
Ms. Chabot spent the third year of her undergraduate degree in optics engineering at the University of Arizona in Tucson.
