Alexandra Daoud

Biography

Alexandra Daoud has a background in electrical engineering and practises in the areas of electronics, software, telecommunications and optics. Her areas of experience also include electro-mechanics, business methods and medical devices.

Ms. Daoud prepares patentability, infringement, and validity opinions. She drafts patent applications and prosecutes them directly at the Canadian Intellectual Property Office and  the United States Patent and Trademark Office. She also prosecutes patent applications via foreign correspondents at the European Patent Office and other patent offices around the world.

Ms. Daoud assists start-ups with the decision-making process for intellectual property management and has been involved in the due diligence reviews of intellectual property portfolios.
