Intellectual Property
With one of the largest teams of lawyers, patent agents and trade-mark agents in Canada, Ogilvy Renault prosecutes patent and trade-mark applications, prepares co-marketing and licensing agreements as well as validity and infringement opinions, and provides counsel in connection with litigation and other dispute resolution mechanisms. Our team also represents the interests of copyright owners and users in various contractual matters, and before the Copyright Board and the courts. Litigation

Community Involvement
We commit to creating an environment that encourages our people to get involved in the community. In particular, we provide professional legal services on a pro bono basis to persons of limited means or to charitable, religious, civic, community and educational organizations where the payment of standard legal fees is impracticable or impossible. We also established scholarships at all of the Ontario law schools and regularly support student-run initiatives such as conferences, academic journals and fundraisers.
Ogilvy Renault is a proud supporter of Centraide/United Way. Since 2000, we raised close to $2 million to benefit the numerous organizations Centraide/United Way funds. In addition, our co-chair Norm Steinberg who, as the co-chair of the Centraide of Greater Montréal campaign, helped raise the historical amount of $54 million in donations in 2007; one million more than the initial objective.
