Ogilvy Renault Congratulates Newly Registered Patent Agents
November 20, 2007
Toronto, Ottawa and Québec City - Ogilvy Renault is pleased to announce that seven of its people have passed their final patent agent exams with flying colours. They will continue to practice in the firm's Intellectual Property group. All seven have advanced degrees in either science, engineering or life sciences.
These newly registered patent agents prepared for their exams through Ogilvy Renault's PasspORt program. PasspORt is a comprehensive teaching approach to help the firm's people earn their accreditations. This includes opportunities throughout the year for candidates to write past years' exams and exercises-under simulated writing conditions. The results are then graded by qualified agents and feedback is given on how to improve exam answers.
"The formal tutorials and assignments were very useful in helping me prepare me for the actual exam experience," says Christine Wong, one of Ogilvy Renault's newly registered patent agents. "Everyone was very supportive during our training and studying. Most importantly, our colleagues appreciated our efforts and the importance of these exams-that made it a much more positive experience."
Ogilvy Renault's patent professionals are skilled in a variety of technical fields-including chemistry, biotechnolgy, molecular biology, biochemistry, metallurgy, materials science and computer science; as well as mechanical, electrical, electronic, software, chemical and biomedical engineering.
