Yves Fortier Appointed to Rio Tinto Board of Directors

London - Ogilvy Renault chairman Yves Fortier was appointed to the board of directors of Rio Tinto plc today. Currently chairman of the board of Alcan Inc., Mr. Fortier joins the Nominations Committee and the Committee on Social and Environmental Accountability. Click here to read Rio Tinto's press release. Ogilvy Renault acted as Canadian counsel for Alcan on the US$38.1 billion offer of acquisition by Rio Tinto. It is the biggest all-cash takeover in Canadian history.
