Ogilvy Renault LLP Represents Montréal Exchange in its Original Stock Exchange Listing
March 27, 2007
Montréal - Today, the common shares of Montréal Exchange (MX), Canada's financial derivatives exchange, began trading on the Toronto Stock Exchange under the symbol MXX. Ogilvy Renault LLP is proud to have advised Montréal Exchange in this major transaction. The original stock exchange listing, and MX's change of status from private company to a publicly traded one, was done without a primary or secondary offering and represented an intense three and a half month effort by two small teams from MX and Ogilvy Renault. The Ogilvy Renault lawyers involved in this matter were: Marc Lacourcière, Andrew Bleau, Christine Dubé and Peter Wiazowski, with assistance from Lise Bergeron, Jules Charette and Sophie Kilburn. Ogilvy Renault is a full-service business law firm with close to 450 lawyers, patent and trade-mark agents practising in the areas of business, litigation, intellectual property, and employment and labour.
