Ogilvy Renault welcomes a choice recruit to its Litigation team: Pierre-Christian Labeau

Québec City - Ogilvy Renault is pleased to announce that Pierre-Christian Labeau has joined the firm as a lawyer in the Litigation Group. Mr. Labeau's experience will add to the firm's expertise in native, constitutional and administrative law, which is already well established nationally. Mr. Labeau has close to 20 years of experience in these areas of law and was, until recently, the Head of the Native and Constitutional Law Division of the Quebec Department of Justice, where he was also a legal adviser. He has acted as counsel to the negotiators for the Government of Quebec in several matters involving territorial claims and has handled various litigation between the Government of Quebec and certain aboriginal communities. He has also represented the Attorney General of Quebec before the Supreme Court of Canada in major precedent-setting cases involving native law and the division of powers.
