Lukasz Granosik Launches Book on the Application of the Act Respecting the Protection of Personal Information in the Private Sector in Quebec

Montréal, Quebec, June 5, 2008 - Today Lukasz Granosik, a partner of Ogilvy Renault and a member of its Employment and Labour Law Group, launched a book on the application of the Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector in Quebec. While this legislation applies to thousands of Quebec businesses and organizations, governing their relations with employees, members, clients, suppliers and partners, very few works have been written about it.
In this annotated edition of the Act, Lukasz Granosik helps business managers and legal professionals find answers to their questions quickly thanks to clearly written comments providing an understanding of the Act and the obligations and constraints that it imposes, along with all relevant underlying authorities. The work also includes 300 references to case law, a table of cases and a detailed analytical index, which make it easier to apply and interpret the Act.
Lukasz Granosik is an expert on Charter rights and freedoms issues in labour law. He is also the co-author of Les droits de la personne et les relations du travail, published in 1997, and Les mesures disciplinaires et non disciplinaires dans les rapports collectifs du travail, published in 2000.
