Alan Mark and Robert L. Armstrong were quoted in the Legal Post on the hiring of our newest partner in the Litigation Group, Jim Hodgson. Mr. Hodgson brings two associates with him to the firm, Robert Blair and Jeff Percival.

Much buzz on Bay Street with the announcement by Ogilvy Renault that it had landed seasoned litigator Jim Hodgson to join its ranks.

Mr. Hodgson was one of a number of litigators in the 1990s.who broke away from their large, blue-chip law firms to set up litigation boutiques.

Bob Armstrong, a litigator in the Toronto practice, says the "senior people thought it was a great opportunity [to land Mr. Hodgson]. You don't have that many chances to get somebody at that level with that reputation or that experience." Mr. Mark adds, "We're committed to continuing to expand the [litigation team] in Toronto in all areas."
