Two Ogilvy Renault Lawyers Named Advocatus Emeritus

Montréal, April 10, 2008 - Ogilvy Renault is pleased to announce two members of the firm will receive the distinction "Advocatus Emeritus" recently created by the Quebec Bar. The title will be conferred on Pierre Bienvenu and Norman M. Steinberg at the Quebec Bar Association's 2008 Convention on May 29.

The Quebec Bar created this distinction to promote the image of the legal profession by honouring its most exemplary members. The title of "Advocatus Emeritus" (Ad.E.) acknowledges lawyers whose career characterizes professional excellence, a sustained and remarkable contribution to the profession and exceptional influence.
About the Recipients
Pierre Bienvenu is Managing Partner of the firm and Chair of the Executive Committee, of which he has been a member since May 1, 2001. He is Co-Chair of our Arbitration and Alternative Dispute Resolution Team. He is an active member of the International Bar Association and is Co-Chair of its Arbitration Committee.
Norman M. Steinberg is Co-Chair of the firm and a member of the Executive Committee. He co-chaired the 2007 Centraide of Greater Montréal campaign and helped raise the historical amount of $54 million in donations last year. In June 2007, he was appointed to the Board of Directors of the Conseil du patronat du Québec (CPQ).
