Spanish Consortium Selected for the Completion of Highway 30 Project

On September 25, 2008 Nouvelle Autoroute 30, s.e.n.c. ("Nouvelle Autoroute") completed the approximately $1.1 billion financing of the Highway 30 Public-Private Partnership Project (the "A-30 Project"). The A-30 Project consists of the design-build construction, rehabilitation, operation and maintenance of approximately 42 kilometres of highway between Vaudreuil-Dorion and Châteauguay incorporating the construction of a new bridge across the St. Laurence Seaway and the operation, maintenance and rehabilitation of 32 kilometres of existing highway. An agreement has been entered into between Nouvelle Autoroute and the Ministre des transports du Québec providing for a concession of 35 years. The construction is scheduled to be completed by December 2012. The A-30 Project is the largest P3 in Quebec to date.
