Sangoma Technologies Acquires Paraxip Technologies

On July 14, 2008 Sangoma Technologies Corporation ("Sangoma"), a TSX Venture Exchange listed company that provides PC-based hardware and software for proprietary and open source networking and telephony solutions, completed its acquisition of Paraxip Technologies Inc. ("Paraxip") for $4.8 million. The purchase price was paid as to $1.9 million in cash and 2.3 million common shares of Sangoma.

Paraxip is a leading developer of IP connectivity software that empowers the deployment of IP telephony applications. The integration of Paraxip provides Sangoma with a growth path that includes the Unified Communications market, IP contact centers, commercial interactive voice response solutions and other SIP-based telephony markets. The transaction bolsters Sangoma's offerings, providing the open source telephony community with a new level of compliance, reliability and scalability.

Sangoma was represented by Ogilvy Renault LLP with a team that included Jay Lefton, Pierre Dagenais, Kevin McPhee (Corporate and Securities), Barry Segal (Tax), Chris Hunter (Intellectual Property) and William Hlibchuk (Employment).
